Hartford HealthCare Medical Group, Inc. (“HHCMG”) seeks 11 FT Medical Oncology and Hematology Physicians to: examine hematology and medical oncology patients; diagnose, treat, and prevent blood diseases and cancers such as iron-deficiency anemia, hemophilia, sickle-cell disease, leukemia, and lymphoma, as well as other solid tumor cancers; consult with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment and recommend and order tests to determine extent of illnesses or help diagnose conditions. Will be assigned to Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute’s (“HHC CI”) Cancer Innovation unit, a specialized unit of the Cancer Center that treats advanced and complex cancers, including aggressive cancers, cancers of unknown origin and rare tumors, simultaneously occurring cancers, and cancers in elderly patients who are not candidates for standard of care treatment. May be assigned to work in Hartford, CT; Meriden, CT; New Britain, CT; Plainville, CT; Willimantic, CT; Bridgeport, CT; Norwich, CT; and Torrington, CT.
Minimum requirements: U.S. Medical degree or foreign equivalent; successful completion of a residency program in Internal Medicine and an accredited fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology; board-eligibility or board certification in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology; and eligibility for or possession of an unrestricted Connecticut Medical License.
